Java Server-side Engineer

Technical Proficiencies:

Middle Tier

Successful candidate understands:
• Object-oriented programming
• Multi-threaded programming
• How to write testable, scalable code

candidate has working knowledge of:

• Java: J2SE, J2EE (EJB not necessary)
• Spring, Hibernate
• Tomcat or similar servlet container
• writing automated tests

Database Tier

Successful candidate understands:
• Database transactions
• ACID properties
• data caching: db-level and app-level
• O/R mapping

Successful candidate has working knowledge of:
• SQL: schema definition, queries
• Hibernate
• a DB server (MySQL w/ InnoDB highly preferred)
